During the years, Dimaro has become one of the most important economic centers in Val di Sole, mainly due to the development of the tourist industry that started in the 60's.

Dimaro is an important tourist destination both during the winter and the summer season also due to the fact that the ski resort of Folgarida can be easily reached from the town.

In addition to the accommodation facilities located here, there are numerous local artisans, farms, extremely committed volunteer associations and new facilities for cultural events and other types of entertainment like the Town Theatre.

From Dimaro you can take the road that goes up towards Passo Campo Carlo Magno and along the road you will find directions to the malga di Dimaro (mountain dairy), which can be easily reached and is a special place for all those that live in Dimaro. It is located right in front of the magnificent peaks of the Brenta Dolomites where you can enjoy a lovely view of the Sasso Rosso peak. The mountain dairy is also the place where visitors can taste and purchase local cold cuts and cheese that are made right at the dairy; wholesome, high quality products.
