Val di Sole has numerous hiking and climbing itineraries, with landscapes and mountains that range from a height of 700 meters at the bottom of the valley to 3700 meters on the highest peaks.

There are three main mountain ranges in Val di Sole, the Ortles – Cevedale to the north, the Adamello – Presanella to the west, the Brenta Dolomites to the south and two protected parks: the Stelvio National Park and the Adamello Brenta Nature Park.
