Val di Peio is a side valley located in Val di Sole in the Trentino region and it is known for its ferruginous water springs and its thermal spa. This valley is closed off by the Ortles-Cevedale mountain chain.

The surroundings are particularly striking with wide open extreme mountainous areas, perennial glaciers, natural mountain lakes and two large artificial water basins that produce hydroelectric energy: the Cáreser lake (2.603 m) and Pian Palù (at 1.800 m).

Peio is also an important tourist resort that during the summer months offers endless opportunities to go walking or hiking in the Stelvio National Park, while during the winter months you can try downhill skiing, Nordic skiing and ice skating.

Today, Pejo Fonti is a well-known thermal center with numerous accommodation facilities that are all located near the brand new thermal spa center and the ski lifts.
